Tyler Green (’05), Utah’s Solicitor General, earns top score for U.S. Supreme Court brief writing

The Empirical SCOTUS blog used BriefCatch, an analytical tool, to analyze every amicus brief submitted in 2017 to measure five categories of legal writing and Green’s brief in Lucia v. SEC scored the highest in the analysis. He had another brief, that was written for D.C. v. Wesby which also scored top marks.

Green, a 2005 graduate, has had a distinguished career beginning with a clerkship upon graduation with Justice Clarence Thomas. He is now Utah’s Solicitor General and oversees the office’s appellate work.
