Norman William Kettner, a 1952 College of Law graduate, died in his sleep on Sunday, December 29, 2014. After graduation from law school, Kettner served as a clerk for the Utah Supreme Court. He later served seven years as assistant Salt Lake City Attorney and subsequently spent 30 years as working as an attorney for the Union Pacific Railroad.
Kettner actively supported his alma maters, including the University of Utah College of Law. He also donated to the Audubon Society, the Nature Conservancy, the Wounded Warrior Project, the Road Home and many other non-profit organizations.
Kettner was preceded in death by his wife, Joanne, on March 28, 2010. He is survived by many nieces and nephews and numerous friends.
