Johnson speaks at Madrid Conferences

Christian Johnson, Professor at the University of Utah College of Law, presented the Tuesday morning keynote talk on the key differences between the European Union and U.S. progress on OTC derivative reforms at a conference on financial reforms organized by the Universidad Complutense de Madrid on October 28, 2014 in Madrid Spain. In his remarks, Johnson compared the progress made by the U.S. and the European Union with respect to clearing, exchange trading and reporting of OTC derivatives as required by the G-20 country commitments made in 2009. Johnson also spoke at a roundtable organized by the Universidad Rey Juan Carlos on October 29th that dealt with the extraterritorial application of Dodd-Frank with respect to OTC derivatives.
