George reappointed to board of American Bar Association Human Rights Center

Professor Erika George

University of Utah S.J. Quinney College of Law Professor Erika George has been reappointed to the Executive Board of the American Bar Association Human Rights Center.

George will serve in the position with new board chair James Wynn, a judge who sits on the Fourth Circuit Court of Appeals.

Wynn has formed a committee to consider the creation of a think tank within the center on which George will sit as part of plans to reinvigorate the organization’s strategic plan.

“I am hopeful that Judge Wynn will reinvigorate the  work of the center as it truly is needed now more than ever.  I will also try to continue to inform the center’s work on business and human rights and human trafficking aligned with my regular research agenda but our focus will be on racial justice,” said George.
