George Presents at Georgetown on Human Right to Health

On Thursday, April 9, Erika George, Professor of Law at the University of Utah S.J. Quinney College of Law, will present at Georgetown Law on “Incorporating Rights: The Human Right to Health and Pharmaceutical Industry Responsibility for Access to Medicine.”

George’s presentation, which is sponsored by the O’Neill Institute for National and Global Health Law at Georgetown Law, examines the role of pharmaceutical corporations in influencing access to essential medicines and the risks posed to the right to health by the high price antiretroviral treatment in context of South Africa’s HIV/AIDS epidemic.
