Dryer’s talk is titled “Privacy in the Cloud: Protecting Yourself and Your Client.”  His presentation is one of several he has given throughout the state in the past several months addressing recent revisions to the Utah Rules of Professional Conduct.

“The use of cloud computing in the legal profession is becoming more common, yet may lawyers are unaware of the potential legal and ethical risks that the technology presents,” Dryer noted.  “There is no ethical guidance in Utah addressing lawyer use of cloud computing, so Utah practitioners must look to other states for best practices,” he added.
