Jorge Contreras, an associate professor at the University of Utah S.J. Quinney College of Law, this month completed a four-year term as one of the inaugural members of the advisory council to National Institutes of Health’s National Center for Advancing Translational Sciences (NCATS).
NCATS’s mission is to transform basic science research into treatments and cures for disease. Since its creation in 2012, NCATS has funded hundreds of innovative projects that have helped to advance medical treatment and science in the United States.
Contreras will continue his service to NIH as a member of the NIH Director’s Council of Councils.
