Shima_Baradaran_knzv2lS.J. Quinney College of Law Professor Shima Baradaran Baughman collaborated on a new report titled, “Pretrial Practice: Building a National Research Agenda for the Front End of the Criminal Justice System.” The report recaps the second Roundtable on Pretrial Practice, held at John Jay College of Criminal Justice on October 26-27, 2015.

An earlier Roundtable in March 2015 focused on pretrial practice and ways of rethinking the front end of the criminal justice system. The report provides an overview of the October 2015 Roundtable, at which participants built on the ideas, discussions, and areas of consensus from the first convening by working to chart a national research agenda for the field of pretrial.
