Research by Kessler on employment discrimination garners a top 10 download ranking from SSRN

Research by University of Utah S.J. Quinney College of Law Professor Laura Kessler recently garnered a top 10 download ranking from the Social Science Research Network as well as high download rankings from several e-journals.

Kessler’s article, “Employment Discrimination and the Domino Effect,” was recently published in the Florida State University Law Review.

Professor Laura Kessler

The article explores employment discrimination as a multidimensional problem which often stems from a combination of employer bias, the organization of work, and employees’ responses to conditions. Kessler’s research illustrates how Title VII does not sufficiently account for these dynamics. She also proposes  a set of legal interventions that would help courts and policymakers better address the domino-like dynamics that result in inequality for workers protected by Title VII.
