Aaron Dewald

Associate Director for Learning Processes and Technology

Aaron is currently the Director of the Technology Initiative and a PhD student in learning science – giving him a unique perspective on technology use in pedagogical situations. Aaron received his B.S. in Information Systems from North Dakota State University in 2001, and his M.Ed. in Instructional Design and Educational Technology from the University of Utah in 2010.

A dedicated student, Aaron lives by a work hard, study hard, play hard mentality. He runs, bikes, or swims every day and also competes in half-Ironman triathlons, qualifying for the World Championships in 2012. Aaron’s success as a educational technology professional undoubtedly stems from his ability to focus that same energy and passion into his work and his studies.

Aaron co-teaches the Counterterrorism Simulation Design course with Professor Amos Guiora. He also teaches Introduction to Web-based Tools at the College of Education.
