The Young Lawyers Division of the State Bar and the Utah Minority Bar Association invite all law students to attend the 4th annual “Mentoring Marathon,” Saturday, January 22, 2011, from 1:00-4:00 p.m. This is a fabulous yearly event where students meet with and learn from attorneys in a variety of practice areas.
This year’s Mentoring Marathon will begin with a panel discussion on the effect of the current economy on the legal profession and employment prospects, followed by breakout sessions. This year, the top-notch practitioners will present on topics such as “Associate Life 411 (targeted to 1L’s),” “Interviewing Tips,” “Professional Networking,” “Escape from Big Law,” and “Resume Reviews-One on One.” All students should plan to attend—there is no cost to you! It will be a great opportunity to meet practicing attorneys and seek advice in a less formal setting. The event will take place at the Utah Law & Justice Center, 645 South 200 East.
