Dean Bob Adler (right) congratulates Bob Keiter during the Stegner anniversary celebration.
The Wallace Stegner Center celebrated its twentieth anniversary last year with a celebration on the evening of October 29, 2015. The event was an opportunity to thank donors and friends of the Stegner Center and to celebrate the Stegner Center’s many accomplishments, including its dedicated and accomplished faculty and staff, its public educational programs on environmental issues, and a top ten ranking by the U.S. News & World Report for its environmental and natural resources law program.
In his comments reflecting on the many accomplishments of the Stegner Center, Dean Adler noted that the Center’s success would not have been possible without the leadership and dedication of founding Director Robert Keiter. In recognition of Director Keiter’s role, Dean Adler made a surprise announcement, noting that, thanks to the generosity of a dedicated group of donors, the conference room in the Stegner Center office suite would be officially named the Robert B. Keiter Conference Room.
In unveiling the naming of the conference room, Dean Adler said, “Bob is not just the founding director of the Stegner Center; he has been its heart and soul for two decades. We are delighted that so many Stegner Center supporters agreed that it was fitting to name the Center’s Conference Room permanently in honor of Bob, and backed up that sentiment with generous donations.”
The donors who contributed to the Robert B. Keiter Conference Room include Clyde Snow Attorneys at Law and the following individuals:
- Robert W. Adler and Michele M. Straube
