Lincoln Davies, Professor of Law at the University of Utah S.J. Quinney College of Law, was recently selected by the University of Utah as a Presidential Scholar
The new Presidential Scholarship program is designed to recognize excellence in scholarship and teaching by mid-career faculty members at the University of Utah. The award lasts for three years and provides substantial support each year for the recipients’ research and scholarship, including for student research support, travel, equipment, and other activities that enriches faculty research. The letter from Senior Vice President Ruth Watkins further states that it is a “recognition of excellence and achievement for faculty members” in their “mid-career stage” who are “rising star talent.”
“I am deeply honored to have been selected for this tremendous privilege,” Davies said. “My mind is already afire with the many ways this award will help further, and expand, my research in energy law and policy. I am indebted to the University and the anonymous donor for making this program possible, and count myself truly blessed to be able to carry on my research in such a supportive, collegial environment at the College of Law.”
