Rosky a Popular Interview Subject in Aftermath of Supreme Court’s Same-Sex Marriage Decisions

In the aftermath of the U.S. Supreme Court’s June 26 rulings on same-sex marriage, which struck down the Defense of Marriage Act and California’s Proposition 8, Clifford Rosky, Associate Professor at the University of Utah S.J. Quinney College of Law, proved to be a popular interview subject and guest commentator.

Rosky spoke to The Salt Lake Tribune for the article “Utah’s ban on gay marriage ‘in jeopardy,’ says U law prof,” which also quoted him in the headline.

He also authored a guest blog, on the Alliance for Justice’s Justice Watch website, titled “Breathtaking victories for the LGBT movement,” which provides a detailed analysis of the impact the Supreme Court’s decisions will have.

In addition, Rosky was also quoted in stories on KSL, KCPW, KUTV, Law360, Fox13, the Times Free Press (Tennessee), and in two different Salt Lake Tribune articles, one on Utah’s likely response to the Supreme Court’s decisions and another on couples benefits.  He also participated in a moderated Salt Lake Tribune discussion on the same topic.

Rosky was also quoted in a Fox13 News story about efforts to enact an anti-discrimination ordinance in Provo.
