It was announced today that the S.J. Quinney College of Law’s own Alex Stein and Abe Bates defeated the BYU team in the final round of the Giles Rich IP Moot Court local competition. This may qualify the Stein-Bates team to participate in the regional competition to be held in Houston, Silicon Valley, Chicago, and Boston on the weekend of March 20 – 22, 2009.
According to David Jones, attorney at Workman Nydegger, “both Alex and Abe displayed a professional, well prepared, and talented performance in front of three U.S. District Court judges as well as many of the local legal community.”
