The University of Utah S.J. Quinney College of Law’s Pro Bono Initiative (PBI) was profiled in a March 20 Daily Utah Chronicle article, “pro bono clinics give law students experience.”
The article focuses on PBI’s Street Law Clinic, and includes interviews with 3L John Wiethorn, the clinic’s student director, and 1L Brett Hastings.
Wiethorn and Hastings agree that clinics provide law students with invaluable hands-on experience in interacting with and interviewing clients, evaluating issues, and providing counseling. Students work under the guidance of experienced attorneys.
