Dean Hiram Chodosh and Amos Guiora, a professor of law at the S.J. Quinney College of Law, were quoted in an article titled “Law symposium explores non-state governance” in the Salt Lake Tribune on February 5.
The article focused on the political, legal, and cultural quandaries of the state intervening in matters of “a sub-community” and “whether to leave people alone to live their lives as they choose, even when they are perceived to be in violation of state law,” Chodosh explained.
The College of Law’s Non-State Governance symposium will be held Friday, February 6 from 8:15 a.m. to 5:15 p.m.
