Johnson Presents on Regulatory Arbitrage, Teaches in Australia

On August 11, 2011, Christian Johnson, Professor of Law at the University of Utah S.J. Quinney College of Law, presented an on-line seminar titled “Extraterritoriality Issues and Regulatory Arbitrage,” as part of the Thomson West Webinar Developments in Handling Over-the-Counter Derivatives.

Johnson’s webinar focused on the cross-border regulatory issues under the Dodd-Frank Act that need to be resolved in order to maintain the U.S.’s key role in the over-the-counter derivative markets. Click here to view his Presentation.

In July, Professor Johnson also taught his Corporate Finance course at the University of Melbourne to LL.M. students. The course focuses on the negotiation and documentation of large commercial loans and repossession transactions.
