Johnson Delivers Financial Crisis Talk at University in Colombia

On Friday, October 30th, Christian Johnson, a Professor of Law at the University of Utah S.J. Quinney College of Law, delivered a talk titled “The U.S. Federal Reserve’s Effort to Deal with the Great Panic” at the Pontificia Universidad Javeriana in Bogota, Colombia.

Johnson said the topic was timely because the U.S. Congress, regulators and scholars are all trying to assess the effectiveness of the Federal Reserves’ actions when they injected hundreds billions of dollars into the U.S. economy. He added that Chayce Clark, Dan Gardiner and Sarah Anderson, all 3Ls at the College of Law, were extremely helpful in all of the research that they did on the topic.
