Johnson Co-Authors New Text on Securities Lending Documentation

Christian Johnson, a professor of law at the University of Utah S.J. Quinney College of Law, recently co-authored the book Mastering Securities Lending Documentation with regular collaborator Paul Harding. According to Johnson, financial firms such as insurance companies and pension funds typically lend securities and stocks to other firms that have a short-term need for them. It is estimated that more than $2.5 trillion of securities and stocks are currently on loan across the globe. The new book provides a discussion of the documentation used in securities lending and the key legal issues involved. This publication complements Johnson and Paul Harding’s other publications that include Using Repo Master Agreements and Mastering Collateral Management and Documentation.
