Jim Holbrook Profiled on KSL News

On January 7, 2009, Jim Holbrook, a professor of law at the S.J. Quinney College of Law, was the subject of a major profile by reporter John Daley on KSL Channel 5 on January 7, 2009.  The profile covers Holbrook’s many roles in life, including solider (he fought in an Army infantry unit in Vietnam), defense attorney (over the course of his career, he defended a number of high-profile clients including a defendant in the Olympic bribery case), and mediator (he is a nationally recognized innovator in the field of alternative dispute resolution).

However, the focus of the profile is Holbrook’s imminent departure for Iraq.  He will spend a year in the Green Zone as Chief of Party on a U.S. State Department-funded effort to rebuild that country’s legal and judicial systems. Quinney College students will contribute research to the project.
