George to Present on Commerce, Social Responsibility at NC Symposium

On April 13, Erika George, Professor of Law at the University of Utah S.J. Quinney College of Law, will present a lecture titled “Conflict Commerce: Congo’s Minerals, Corporate Social Responsibility and Supply Chain Transparency” at the North Carolina Central University (NCCU) School of Law symposium, Obstacles and Opportunities: The Role of Law in Doing Business in New and Old Economies in the Global Marketplace.

According to the NCCU website, “The morning lectures and panel discussions will focus on the African and Caribbean experience while the afternoon discussions will focus on lessons from South America and the European economic crisis. Panelists from five universities and international legal practice will speak.”
