Dryer to Present at Archivist Conference, April 4

On April 4, 2014 Randy Dryer, Presidential Honors Professor and Visiting Professor of Law at the University of Utah S.J. Quinney College of Law, will present at the annual Utah State Archives Records and Information Management conference in Salt Lake City. Dryer’s presentation is titled “Government Social Media: Strategies for Successfully Managing Legal Risks.” The conference is attended by state and local records managers and archivists from throughout the state. Dryer notes that “while social media use by Utah governmental entities has become widespread as government seeks to capitalize on the new tools to connect with citizens, the attention paid to the concomitant legal risks has been very sporadic.”
