Chiang Interviewed by KSL TV on Bill Targeting Religious Freedom in Utah

On October 15, Emily Chiang, Associate Professor of Law at the University of Utah S.J. Quinney College of Law, was interviewed by KSL 5 News about a bill being drafted by State Sen. Todd Weiler.  In the interview, Weiler explained that the proposed legislation, the “Student Religious Liberties Act,” is designed to protect students and schools.

Chiang told reporter Nkoyo Iyamba that the bill might place religious freedom in schools under greater scrutiny, particularly if courts “suspect that the school is in any way regulating the content of what (students) say.”
