Cassell, Medwed Reflect on Sotomayor Nomination in SL Trib

On July 13, University of Utah College of Law professors Paul Cassell and Daniel Medwed were among those interviewed by The Salt Lake Tribune concerning the nomination of Sonia Sotomayor to the U.S. Supreme Court, which is being debated this week by the U.S. Senate.

The Tribune article notes that more than 1,200 legal scholars from 49 states signed a letter backing Sotomayor’s nomination.  Medwed, along with Scott Matheson and Dean Hiram Chodosh, were among 15 professors from the College of Law who signed the letter.
