Shima Baradaran, Associate Professor of Law at the University of Utah S.J. Quinney College of Law, was quoted in a recent Salt Lake Tribune story on deleted emails that may pertain to ongoing investigations into alleged misconduct by Utah Attorney General John Swallow.
Baradaran explained that intentionally deleting records could lead to serious consequences: “The potential implications could include criminal charges of tampering with evidence or spoliation [destroying or altering evidence],” she told The Tribune.
