Adler Argues For Climate Change Action, Against 'Conclusive Proof' Standard in SL Trib Op-Ed

In an October 31, 2009 Salt Lake Tribune op-ed, Robert Adler, Professor of Law at the University of Utah S.J. Quinney College of Law, argues that the potential risks of global warming are so great that Utah’s elected officials should not set a “conclusive proof” standard prior to acting on the issue of climate change.

“Scientific debate about global warming is healthy,” Adler writes. “Setting an unreasonable standard of proof before acting is a potentially catastrophic mistake.”
