In June, Professor Jorge Contreras testified before the S. Senate Intellectual Property Subcommittee on issues of patent quality, arguing for increased vigilance against fraudulent and other inoperable patents. Earlier this year, Professor Contreras was awarded the University’s Distinguished Research Award.
