I have one announcement and one reminder:
First, the Department of Justice has announced a new app for searching for legal internships and attorney positions within the Department.
We are excited to announce that the U.S. Department of Justice, Office of Attorney Recruitment and Management launched a new, free mobile app where your students and alumni can easily search for legal internships and attorney positions with the Department. The mobile app is called DOJ Law Jobs and is available now on Apple iTunes for iPhone and will be available in a few weeks on Play Store for Android and tablet-based technology.
If you’re like me and were one of the 20 people who bought a Windows phone, you’re out of luck. Don’t even get me started on the Amazon phone.
This is also a good time to remind you of the online resources available to you at http://law.utah.edu/careers/ under Careers Quick Links in the upper right corner. Some of the links require a password which we make available in the Passwords document located in the Document Library of your Symplicity account. Examples of these passwords include Lewis & Clark’s Online Job Board, the Intercollegiate Job Bulletin Bank where 86 law schools post their on-line job postings at the beginning of every month (sometimes theoretically) , the Government Honors and Internship Handbook from the University of Arizona, EcoJobs and the Vermont Directory of State Judicial Clerkships.
