THORPE, NORTH & WESTERN INTELLECTUAL PROPERTY SCHOLARSHIP

The Thorpe, North & Western Intellectual Property Scholarship recognizes Utah Law students who have demonstrated interest in and commitment to practicing intellectual property (IP) law. Students can show this interest in and commitment to intellectual property law by taking IP courses, becoming involved with Center on Law and Biomedical Sciences, or participating in Utah Law's intellectual property law program. Applicants do not need to have a STEM undergraduate degree, but it may be a consideration.
Benefits
One $1,500 scholarship will be awarded in fall semester.
Eligibility
This scholarship application is open to currently enrolled first- or second-year law students.
Application requirements and selection
Applicants must submit the following:
- current resume
- written personal statement (no more than 500 words) that addresses the criteria in the scholarship description
- unofficial College of Law transcript
Recipients will be chosen by a committee of S.J. Quinney College of Law deans and/or faculty.
