PRO BONO INITIATIVE FELLOWSHIPS

However, there is potential that the scholarships, fellowships, and awards listed below may be affected by the 2025 legislative session. At the conclusion of the session, the College will evaluate the outcome and make the appropriate changes to the language associated with the list below. Students should know that the criteria may change significantly and should not rely on this information in the interim.

The Pro Bono Initiative Student Fellows work under the Pro Bono Initiative director's supervision.

Responsibilities include attending various PBI legal clinics, meeting with students about pro bono projects, working on the website, helping with statistical data, donor relations and trainings, and performing other office duties. More specifically, Pro Bono Initiative Student Fellows will act as liaisons between the PBI office, law students, and the legal community.

Benefits


Students receive an academic year stipend and tuition benefit.

Eligibility


Prior participation in the Pro Bono Initiative is required.
First- and second-year students are eligible to apply.

Application requirements and selection


Applicants must complete the common scholarship application and provide the following:

  • resume
  • a written personal statement (no more than 500 words) that addresses the personal qualifications required by the scholarship

Recipients will be selected by a committee of deans, the PBI director, and donors.
