Heather L. Thuet is a skilled and experienced trial attorney who has tried cases to jury in federal court and in district courts across the state of Utah. She was born and raised in Salt Lake County. After obtaining a bachelor of science in business from the University of Utah, where she graduated cum laude, she received her J.D. from the University of Utah. Thuet was in the top 5% of her graduating law school class, earning her the prestigious distinction of Order of the Coif.
As a shareholder of Christensen & Jensen, a mid-sized law firm in Salt Lake, Thuet chairs the firm’s real estate practice group. Her practice spans the areas of medical malpractice, commercial litigation, construction defect, insurance bad faith, and catastrophic personal injury. For the past nine years, she has served as a Judge Pro Tem in the Salt Lake Justice Court. She is serving a second term as an elected bar commissioner representing the Third Division on the Utah State Bar Board of Bar Commissioners. Thuet is the former chair of the Utah State Bar’s Litigation Section and served a four year term as a commissioner on the Salt Lake City Historic Landmarks Commission protecting the city’s heritage homes and historic structures.

Anna Anderson, former PBI Fellow, Equal Justice Fellow & attorney for Legal Assistance of Western New York, Inc.
Anna Anderson is a Supervising Attorney at Legal Assistance of Western New York (LawNY), where she oversees the Consumer Protection Unit, serving 14 counties in Western New York. Prior to the formation of the Consumer Protection Unit, Anna served as an Equal Justice Works Fellow at LawNY and helped lay the groundwork for LawNY’s consumer practice. In her current role, Anna continues to manage the Hotline and program she established during her Fellowship, which has served over 1,000 people to date and helped eliminate more than $500,000 in debt for low-income New Yorkers.
Anna obtained her law degree at the University of Utah S.J. Quinney College of Law in 2015. Anna has always been a champion of public interest work. While attending law school, she worked at Utah Legal Services and the Legal Aid Society, in addition to serving as a Pro Bono Initiative and Peter “Rocky” Rognlie Fellow. For her service, she was honored as the Utah State Bar’s 2015 Pro Bono Law Student of the Year. In 2016, she was also chosen as the Wells College Young Alumni of the Year. Before law school, Anna was an AmeriCorps Volunteer working on a homelessness prevention project at LawNY.
