Steve Chambers was born and raised in Logan, Utah. He graduated from Utah State University, B.S., physics; minor in economics. Steve earned his Juris Doctor from S.J. Quinney School of Law (then the University of Utah College of Law) and in 2000 he earned an MBA degree from the University of Utah. He was admitted to practice before the Utah Supreme Court; United States District Court, District of Utah; Court of Appeals for the Tenth Circuit.
He worked in private practice in Salt Lake City as a sole practitioner from 1976 through 1998. Steve served as in-house counsel for Zions First National Bank, 1998-2007. Then he resumed working in private practice with Nielsen & Senior, 2007-present. Steve has served as chairman of the Banking & Finance Section, Utah State Bar and co-chairman of the 2010 Fall Forum. He currently is serving as CLE co-chair for the Solo, Small Firm & Rural Practice section. He has been a presenter at the 2007 and 2010 Fall Forum and the 2009 Spring Convention.
Steve is active in youth sports as a coach, referee, league board member and league president for American Youth Soccer Organization, 1989-2008; and in Boy Scouts of America in various positions, 1979-present, and received the District Award of Merit and Silver Beaver awards.
He is currently a member of the Murray Area Chamber of Commerce board of directors.
He is married to Nancy Chambers, nurse manager of LDS Hospital's maternal-newborn unit.
